Before connecting the charger

Do not adopt a generic storage percentage, temperature limit or charging interval from an unrelated bike. Battery designs and charging systems differ. Plan occasional checks according to the model instructions and do not leave a neglected, depleted pack in storage.
Cleaning and water exposure
The X7 product information lists IPX6 water resistance. This does not mean it can be submerged or pressure washed. Avoid deep water, floodwater and seawater, and keep high-pressure spray away from electrical parts. Clean using the method described in the manual.
Do not connect a charger to wet equipment. If water may have entered the battery or electrical system, stop using the bike and contact support. Merely drying the outside does not establish that the internal equipment is safe.
When to stop using the battery
Stop riding and charging if you notice swelling, damaged casing, unusual heat, smoke, an abnormal odor or other unexpected behavior. Do not attempt to open, repair or move a smoking or burning pack. Move people away and contact emergency services if there is smoke, fire or immediate danger.
For a non-emergency fault, contact support with the order number, model and a description or safely obtained photos. Follow their instructions for inspection, handling and any replacement. Do not put a lithium battery into ordinary trash or household recycling; obtain appropriate local disposal instructions.
Battery performance and warranty
Riding range changes with temperature, speed, terrain, rider weight, tire pressure and battery condition. A change in range alone does not identify a fault. Keep notes about comparable rides and operating conditions when asking support for help.
Eligible complete bikes include a two-year limited warranty on the original frame and a one-year limited warranty on covered electrical and mechanical components, subject to the full warranty terms.
