Quick answer: Prepare for an electric dirt-bike ride by checking four things: the rider’s protective gear, the bike’s condition, permission to use the riding area and the rider’s ability to control the machine. Choose gear for powered off-road riding
Use a properly fitted, certified motorcycle or off-road helmet appropriate for the activity, eye protection, riding gloves, over-the-ankle riding boots and protective clothing. Consider knee, elbow, chest and back protection suitable for the terrain. Check fit and condition using the equipment manufacturer’s guidance.
Gear cannot make every speed or obstacle safe. Keep your route and pace within your ability, and seek instruction if you are new to powered two-wheel riding.

Use the model-specific owner manual for pressures, torque values and adjustment procedures. If a check raises a concern, resolve it before riding. Do not improvise brake repairs or work inside a battery pack.
Build control before increasing speed
Start on level ground in a clear area that permits your vehicle. Learn the controls with the bike stationary, then practice smooth starts, controlled stops and wide turns at a manageable pace. Leave room for stopping and keep both wheels on the ground while learning.

Confirm where you can ride
The X5 and X7 are sold for recreational off-road use. Obtain permission for private property and check specific vehicle rules for parks, tracks and trails. A sign allowing bicycles or e-bikes does not automatically permit electric dirt bikes.

Finish with a post-ride check
Inspect for damage, clean the bike as instructed and address changes in brake feel, handling or electrical behavior. Allow equipment to reach the charging conditions specified in the manual before connecting the correct charger.
